Damadics Benchmark

Introduction

This page contains the information about the Damadics Benchmark. The information is divided into the following sections:

  • Definition: information about the way of carrying out the benchmark, i.e., which test should be done, which performance indexes should be calculated, how the results should be compared and delivered, etc.
  • Simulink library: description of the Simulink library, which includes model of the simulator, used in the benchmark.
  • Data files: data files from Lublin Sugar Factory that are intended to be used in the benchmark.

The theoretical background, process description, selected actuator description and the list of available process variables can be found in the document:

The theoretical backgrounds and analysis of the actuator structure, i.e., the positioner / pneumatic servo-motor / control valve assembly , and its model, can be found in the document:

One can also download other documents concerning this benchmark:

Definition

The benchmark definition can be download here:

damadics-benchmark-definition (.zip, 515,98 kB)

Simulink library

The DAMADICS Actuator Library "DABLib" can be download here:

The zip file includes: library file, library description and four Simulink model examples. To use the library, the DABLib directory should be added to the Mathlab path.

Data files

The data files from Lublin Sugar Factory can be downloaded from here.  Each file contains the data acquiredduring one day. The data from October, 27th to November, 23rd, 2001 are available.

All data files in the ZIP format can be download here:

»All data file - part 1« (.zip, 22,53 MB)
»All data file - part 2« (.zip, 23,77 MB)
»All data file - part 3« (.zip, 20,55 MB)
»All data file - part 4« (.zip, 16,49 MB)

The data are stored in columns in text format. The first column contains a time stamp equal to a number of seconds from the midnight. Assign a process variables names to the columns downloading the description file:

»Data file description« (.zip, 1,41 MB)

The data files are containing the data: from fault free operation, from natural faulty states and from artificial generated faults. The file containing the report from artificial introduced faults can be found in the benchmark definition file.
